BD Insulin Syringes 31g 8mm 3/10cc 1/2 Unit Markings 100 Count

I use these for my diabetic cat. I have used these syringes for several years and really like them, but recently have had some quality control problems with the markings. Sometimes there is a gap from the top marking and sometimes the markings are not straight. Since my cat gets only 1/2 unit, it can cause big problems for him if I'm not watchful for this. For example, if there is a gap from the top line to the top of the syringe, I could end up dosing him a full unit when he should only get a half unit. Quality control needs to improve!

I actually liked that it has 1/2 unit markings and the shipping was quite fast as well.

ADW is my source for insulin syringes, especially with 1/2 unit markings. I noticed on my last order they also have additional handy products such as empty tubes that hold glucose tablets. These stay closed tightly but open easily unlike the old tubes I have worn out. I also found an examination mirror to check on my feet. ADW is a great source. We use these for our diabetic cat like many other reviewers. The needle is super sharp and she barely feels it. They resist air bubbles well. My only complaint - these aren't as well lubricated as the UltiCare syringes, which makes it really difficult to set the dose. You have to exert some force to unstick the plunger, but then you lose control and it becomes really hard to adjust the dose. Our cat currently takes just a half unit, so precision is super important.
