The Hypafix Tape by Smith and Nephew is made from a non-woven fabric designed to hold post-operative dressings in place. One of the best things about the tapes is that it holds the dressing and prevents patient discomfort that might be caused by displacements.

The tape prevents the dressing from rubbing against the wound and getting stuck in the skin. This minimizes the pain that is usually felt when the dressing is removed. It also helps secure drainage tubes and catheters.
