I would like to tell you all about my wife Jody, she is an amazing woman who has been on insulin do to Type 1 diabetes for over 20 years. Being married to a diabetic WAS a scary thing for me, I had to learn to watch for the signs when she would be getting “shakey” or the signs if something went wrong and she was on her way to a diabetic coma. Learning to give her the evening shots was slow but she was patient and now I do it with relative ease.
I have watched Jody over the years manage her diabetes and do so with alot of ups and downs. In 2005, I watched my father take his own life and less than a year later my mother pass away from cancer, and had a deep feeling of not being able to help, and this worried me with a diabetic wife. So I started looking into the healthy side of life looking for answers, and I found them.
As of today with what Jody and I have done with her type 1 and my border line type 2 is amazing. Jody has actually gone down nearly 10 units on her long term shot or what we call “the night time shot” just before bed. Her blood sugars all run very good now. Jody would would have to explain about her A1C’s and the rest because it still confuses me even after 13 years of marriage to her.
If you would like to know how Jody has managed her diabetes and what it is she is doing please feel free to call and leave a message and we will get right back to you.
1-573-619-9614 I’m a Deputy Sheriff so it may take a short while but Jody and I will get right back to you.
Thanks,
Jody and Rob
