As you may know, November is recognized as National Diabetes Month, but another special event also takes place this month - World Diabetes Day on November 14th! Established by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1991 in response to the global diabetes epidemic, World Diabetes Day is internationally recognized and recently supported by the UN with the United Nations World Diabetes Day Resolution in December 2006.
