I found out I was diabetic with type 2 in febuary 2007 I was 28. I was in the ER becuase I had some very bad eye problems and I freak out I also found out that I was allergic to some antibiotics I was taking

I was 8 years old when diagnosed and was told I may not live to see 14, as many children just didn't make it with this illness, back in those days.
Good / Bad: 2006 While delivering papers had chest pain rushed to ER developed pneumonia that became more life threatening when it became empyema and could have killed me and sugars were in 500s had to have emergency surgery developed multiple areas of neuropathy.

September 28, 2008 was the worst day of our lives. We were the perfect family. I am a working mother and we are fortunate that my husband can be a stay at home father. We have a beautiful only child named Noah (in honor of my love of animals). Great life. Great home.
I was diagnosed with type II diabetes after my first doctor told me it was just stress and thyroid making me tired. My new doctor took my blood sugar and the reading was in the high 400s.
